STREET ART - SYDNEY

Greetings to all directly from Sydney, especially to the art lovers, since today I will be showing you more about art from one of the most astonishing cities in the world!

This post is going to be centered in a very special project called Sydney Street Art Project.

It was founded five years ago, more or less, based on the passion for photography and street art of its creators. It is a community based organisation that is focused on providing encouragement and opportunities for the local and very talented street artists who want to make a difference in the world.

Since it has started, it has used streets, sidewalks, lanes and galleries of Sydney to capture and share this amazing and so inviting as well as inspiring landscape with the wide community, and believe me, it is fantastic to see all this work in that beautiful city, almost making me try it, if I had it in me, of course.

As I could read on their website (http://sydneystreetartproject.com), their aim is to transform the already vibrating and so inviting city of Sydney into a public huge art gallery that spreads all over the city, using naked walls as canvas for artistic expression, having a big hope for the community engagement as well as a significant contribute to the city’s urban culture.

Sydney has a huge variety of street art, from abstract paintings to social critiques, for instance against racism, and they are not only beautiful but very educating.

The best part of this project is that anyone can send pictures of street art, allowing it to be catalogued, and also allowing us to know them and where to find them.

To finish I would like to give a huge thank to the creators and managers of the website for their passion and great idea and of course to all street artists for making the world a richer place everyday.

Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did,
