Howdy, street artists.
On this post, I will present to you art from the streets of
Lisbon. Lisbon is the capital of Portugal and the most populous in the country.
Let’s explore some places where you can find the best art in the streets of
Portugal.
Castelo de São Jorge (Escadinhas de São Cristóvão)
When taking a walk, on the way to Castelo de São Jorge, you
are granted with paintings on the walls. The paints withdraw Fado, a Intangible
Cultural Heritage of Humanity and the urban popular song of Portugal, and it
shows you how important Fado is for the Portuguese people and the Portuguese
society.

City’s elevators
One of the main highlights of the
city is its elevators that help people reach the viewpoints of the city.
Artists showcase their talents in the street of the Glory Elevator and the
street of the Lavra Elevator.
On the way to Marquês de Pombal
In the Fontes Pereira de Melo
avenue, 3 buildings portray big paintings. These force you to stop and enjoy
it. The painters of these buildings were Os Gemeos, Blu and Sam3.

Between Baixa and Belém
As stated in a previous street art
post, Vhils is one of the most recognized Portuguese street artist in the
world. He also left his mark in the streets of Lisbon, on one of the Lx Factory
buildings, before the bridge’s pilars near Alcantara. On the other side of the
road, a mural was painted by Hom & Nosm.
Internationally speaking, Lisbon
is recognized worldwide for its street art, which is one of the richest in the
world. By saying this, the name Crono has to be mentioned. Crono is a project
that helped revealing street art from Lisbon to the world. You can visit this
project: http://cargocollective.com/Crono. Hope you enjoyed this post.
Until then, a better post is
coming, next time.
