STREET FESTIVALS - ITALY

Hi guys! Having fun at the beer festival? I really hope you are.

Well now I have something different for you. Since the last post was more directed to the boys, here is something that will make any woman in the world feel special.

I’m sure you already heard of the women’s day! But have you ever heard of the Italian festival Della Donna? It’s basically the same but in one of the oldest and filled with culture countries in the world.

The International Women’s Day is celebrated every year on the 8th day of March, but in Italy there are a few traditions worthwhile travelling for.

In Italy men are going to celebrate it with the traditional gift of yellow mimosas to Italy’s lovely women.

The symbol of the day is the yellow mimosa expression of female solidarity. The origin of the custom is lost, but it is said to have started in Rome after World War II. Men began giving the mimosa to their parents, friends, co-workers and family to their significant others, colleagues, mothers and sisters blossoming branches of this tree. Everybody tries his best to be extra gentle and caring with all women. Nowadays it has evolved and now women also give mimosa to each other.
Hope you have enjoyed my explanation of the women’s day and also my suggestion!
See you soon,
